Senior Resources Inc., a senior care advisor, covering Los Angeles and Ventura counties in Southern California brings independent, assisted, memory care, hospice and in-home care options to seniors and their families. We don’t just find a place for Mom or Dad; we make sure it’s the right place.
First Contact
When we are first contacted by a family member, we conduct a no-obligation evaluation with the senior and their family at home or an alternate location to determine specific needs or challenges. For example, we’ll ask if there are any:
- special needs or challenges with daily care activities ( e.g., personal hygiene, eating)
- medical conditions (e.g., diabetes, heart disease)
- financial constraints or obligations
- time frame issues
- geographic requirements
- resources that may be needed to coordinate the move and make the transition smoother (e.g., moving service, estate sale company, realtor)
- dietary concerns (e.g., Kosher, Halal, Vegetarian, Vegan)
The information we receive is essential. It provides our senior care advisors with the tools they need to perform a comprehensive search for appropriate senior living communities, whether it’s an independent or assisted living community, residential care community (board and care) or memory care community or a personal health aide in-home or at a care community.
Our staff will arrange hands-on personally guided tours of these communities and will help coordinate any moves. We ask that families and the individual tour the communities prior to making a decision, as brochures, websites and telephone conversations do not always present the entire picture.
If it’s personal care or in-home care you need, we’ll do a safety inspection of the home and make recommendations of safety options you should consider, as part of our comprehensive home evaluation. We want the home environment to be as safe as possible to avoid any unnecessary injuries.
