Residential Care Homes / Board and Care
- Has Dad had a severe stroke?
- Does Aunt Sadie have Alzheimer’s?
- Is Mom suffering from advanced Parkinson’s Disease?
- Is Grandpa bedridden?
- Does Grandma have difficulty with daily living activities (e.g., bathing, eating, grooming)
Often because of the severity of an illness, our loved ones cannot be placed in assisted living communities nor stay in their homes because their conditions require consistent personal care/attention. That’s when placing your family member in a residential care home/board & care can be the best option.
Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly (RCFE) are licensed to accept up to six residents at a time. The homes/board & cares provide a home-like atmosphere and high level of personal care. They must apply for and receive the same city and state licensing as the larger residential communities.
